Takehome

About

Takehome publishes free US calculators for W-2 take-home pay, 1099/self-employed take-home, mortgage principal and interest, and auto-loan payments. The public site is autopaymentloan.com. There is no account, no application, and no human underwriting.

We are not a lender, not a bank, not a credit union, and not an IRS-authorized e-file provider. We do not issue loans, we do not pull credit, and we do not place you with a broker. The word “loan” in the hostname is leftover from the first calculator. It is not an offer of credit. A search engine that only reads the domain can mistake this host for a mill that takes applications. The pages do not.

What the numbers are

Every result is an estimate from published 2026 federal tables or from the standard US amortizing payment formula. State income tax is a planning rate so you can compare states. City tax, pretax benefits, and extra W-4 withholding are not in the paycheck tool yet. QBI, retirement, and health deductions are not in the 1099 tool. Escrow and PMI are not in the mortgage tool.

Worked examples on the home page and under Guides are the same functions the buttons call. They are not invented round numbers. If you type the same inputs, you should see the same leftover, payment, or set-aside percent.

If you need a filing or a locked rate, use a CPA, the IRS, or a licensed lender. This site exists so a person can see the leftover before they sign.

Who writes the pages

Copy on the calculator pages and under Guides is written here. We do not paste other sites’ articles. We do not run doorway pages that only exist to send you to ads. We do not republish news headlines. A public RSS block used to sit on the home page. It is gone, and the old feed URL is closed.

Ads load only after you calculate, below the result. Home, About, Method, Privacy, and Guides do not load the ad script in the head. There is no interstitial, no auto-playing video, and no fake “pre-qualified” button.

Questions about the domain or ads go to the email on the AdSense and registrar account. We do not publish a phone number on this site. Last copy pass: 2026-09-21. If a review bot only counts home-page words, read About, Method, and the nine guides too — that is the site, not a four-button shell.
